Maximizing the fun at amusement park

Spending holiday by visiting amusement park might seem a good idea. But believe it or not, several things can go wrong and turn your happy time into disaster.

Expect the unexpected

Weather is the main enemy of an amusement park. It is better to avoid going there during the rainy season because some rides will not be operational at all! You need to take this seriously especially if you are a thrill-seeker. Thrill-rides like roller coasters, drop towers, and swings are not going to be available for safety reason.
If rainy season is your only chance, though, you can plan to visit amusement park that has good indoor entertainment too. 4D rides, horror house, or educational attractions (underwater aquarium, animal museums, or historical hall). In this case, prepare to bring a raincoat instead of an umbrella. The coat provides more comfortability and mobility.

Also, expect to queue for a long time if you choose to visit a theme park during weekend or holiday season. Going out early may overcome the queuing problem, but most of the time, some rides are not yet available. For example, there are minimum passengers for a roller coaster or other big thrill rides. They will be functional during the most crowded time, like in the late afternoon. If you are aiming for those rides and have planned to go early, you need to bring at least ten other people.

Consider preparing a wheel-chair for your elderly, or bringing a skateboard, or kick-scooter with your friends for the maximum mobility. Make sure everyone is going to enjoy their time, and not going to be exhausted. Some theme parks offer scooter rental, but do not stop there. Check the variety of the available scooters and see the maximum weight of each. Also, look at how much the rental charges per hour.

Snacks or meals?

There are always restaurant or canteen at an amusement park, but if you want to save the money and spend it more on the rides, preparing your foods from home is much better. Besides, if you prepare everything from home, and you are going to visit the park in a group, you can check if anyone is allergic to something.
Snacks like peanuts, biscuits, or cookies are good to go. For the meals, simple sandwiches with slices of bacon or egg can keep you full and recharged before and after a ride.
Avoid bringing foods that are not practical to eat, like cup noodle, instant rice or oversized pizza or burger. Keep the size of your meal small to avoid mess after eating.…
